چکیده

INTRODUCTION From a beginning of atomic shipbuilding (the 1956) in Russia built about 250 atomic submarines (NPS), 5 ships and 9 civil atomic vessels. In connection with expiry of the term of maintenance and conclusion of the contracts about limitation and cutting of offensive arms of Russia from the extremity of the 1980-th years acutely there was a problem of their utilization. Utilization of the ships and vessels with nuclear powered plants (NPP) on the complexity, dearness and social importance represents a problem of world importance and is priority in activity of naval fleet (NF). It is possible to judge its scales that to a start of 1999 from battle composition of NF is output about 180 NPS (60 % from composition of Northern Fleet, 40 % from composition of Pacific Fleet). Among NPS, output from battle composition, 30-40 % are of a first generation and more than 60 % of second generation. The removal from operation and utilization NPS is predetermined necessity of the decision of a series of problems, connected to development and realisation technologies for handling with the radioactive equipment and radioactive waste of the ships with NPP and safe for the personnel, population and environment.

Decontamination and Decommissioned Small Nuclear AIP Hybrid Systems Submarines

Being equipped with small reactor AIP is the trend of conventional submarine power in 21st century as well as a real power revolution in conventional submarine. Thus, the quantity of small reactor AIP Submarines is on the increase, and its decommissioning and decontamination will also become a significant international issue. However, decommissioning the small reactor AIP submarines is not only...

Analysis of Radionuclides Inventory Contained in Liquid Effluents Resulted from Decommissioning of Vvr-s Nuclear Research Reactor

Activity concentration of the radionuclides presented in liquid effluents has been evaluated in IFIN-HH laboratories. Gamma-ray spectrometry analyses have been performed for liquid and residue samples, and gross beta activity has been evaluated only for residue samples. Co, Cs, Eu, Eu and Ag radionuclides have been found with a higher concentration in residue samples. Taking into account previo...

Nuclear Decommissioning and Organisational Reliability: Involving Subcontractors in Collective Action

The concept of organisational reliability is at the heart of the safety of at-risk systems. Many studies have been conducted in the nuclear industry; all emphasise the study of plants in normal, daily operation or during shutdowns. However, decommissioning, whether ongoing or planned, places a sharp focus on the question. This is because, on the one hand operating companies make significant cha...

Staff and patient absorbed doses due to diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures

Background: Annual patient effective dose equivalent can be considered as a quantitative physical parameter describing the activities performed in each nuclear medicine department. Annual staff dose equivalent could be also considered as a parameter describing the amount of radiation risk for performing the activities. We calculated the staff to patient dose equivalent ratio to be used as a phy...

Towards Robotically Supported Decommissioning of Nuclear Sites

This paper overviews certain radiation detection, perception, and planning challenges for nuclearized robotics that aim to support the waste management and decommissioning mission. To enable the autonomous monitoring, inspection and multi–modal characterization of nuclear sites, we discuss important problems relevant to the tasks of navigation in degraded visual environments, localizability–awa...
